Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 11, 2026
1. About This Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how LaserData, Inc. ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on laserdatahq.com and the LaserData developer portal. It supplements our Privacy Policy. As a developer infrastructure platform and AI data backend, we use cookies for authenticated developer sessions, portal functionality, and analytics on documentation and product pages.
2. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They recognize your device across page loads, maintain authenticated sessions, store preferences, and measure usage patterns. Related technologies include browser local storage, such as for remembering cookie-banner dismissal state.
3. How We Use Cookies
This table summarizes cookie and similar technology categories used on laserdatahq.com and the developer portal.
| Category | Examples | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Developer portal session token, CSRF protection token, cookie-banner dismissal state in localStorage | Session to 12 months |
| Preferences | Docs code language selection, Python or TypeScript, and sidebar state | Up to 12 months |
| Analytics | Self-hosted analytics for page visits and docs navigation, anonymized and aggregated, not shared with third-party ad networks | Up to 13 months |
| Marketing | Not currently used | N/A |
4. Notice and Choice
By continuing to use the Service, you acknowledge our cookie use. This site uses a notice-only consent model for US visitors, so strictly necessary and analytics cookies may be active on page load. You may opt out of analytics cookies by blocking cookies in your browser or sending a Global Privacy Control signal, as described in Section 5.
Re-open the cookie notice anytime using the "Cookie preferences" link in any page footer.
5. Universal Opt-Out Signals
Where applicable state law requires (for example, California under the CPRA, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and Oregon), we honor browser-transmitted opt-out signals such as the Global Privacy Control ("GPC") for sale and targeted-advertising categories. When we detect a GPC signal, we suppress analytics initialization for that browser or device session. Because we do not use marketing or behavioral advertising cookies, GPC detection has no effect beyond analytics suppression.
6. Third-Party Cookies
Our analytics stack is self-hosted, and we do not load third-party analytics SDKs, such as Google Analytics, that place their own cookies. Infrastructure service providers may set cookies for load-balancing or DDoS-mitigation purposes. Agreements with these providers limit data use to providing services to us.
7. Managing Cookies
- Use the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer to re-open the cookie notice.
- Use browser settings to block or delete cookies. See aboutcookies.org for browser-specific instructions.
- Blocking strictly necessary cookies prevents sign-in to the LaserData developer portal.
8. Changes and Contact
We may update this policy when our analytics stack, developer portal session mechanics, or applicable law changes. The "Last updated" date will reflect revisions.
